Scopa!

Scopa!

I am fortunate to work wish many wonderful organizations, but I especially love working with the Italian Cultural Center of Minneapolis.  I've been their photographer for the past five years, and I enjoy each and every event I shoot for them.  This most recent event was APERATIVI E CARTI: THE ITALIAN WAY.  This lively event centered around the beloved card game Scopone, played by nearly every person over 50 in Italy.  Also, the lovely women you see at the top right prepared endless rounds of refreshing spritzer cocktails, also known as aperativi, which added to the festive atmosphere..  I hope that these photos capture the sound of laughter and send of fun in the air!  If this looks a good time to you, check out the ICC's events page and attend an upcoming food & wine, culture, or language event.
